The great trilogy of theology by Hans Urs von Balthasar includes The Glory of the Lord, Theo-Drama, and Theo-Logic. His Epilogue, a single volume, is the closing of his masterwork, giving final details and overview to the prior volumes in the trilogy.

That protology leads to this conclusion from the outset is also shown in the eager longing of creation as depicted in Romans 8: creation “waits with eager longing”, “groaning in travail”—not for the specific Incarnation of Jesus, but for its fulfillment in his Mystical Body. For we Christians, who as members of this body have already received the “warrant of the Spirit”, “groan inwardly as we wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies”.
